Nye Courte Questions and Answers
Q. What is assisted living?
A. Assisted living simply means assistance is available to people living in Nye Courte. Personal Supervision, 24-hour assistance, three nutritious meals a day, snack and help with routine personal care, * allows tenants to maintain continued independence.  This arrangement can be the perfect alternative for people who are unable to live independently yet do not need nursing home care.
   
Q. What makes Nye Courte assisted living apartments unique?
A. Nye Courte offers a commitment to independence.  We understand that often just a bit of help is all that is required to maintain an independent lifestyle.  Our staff is trained and understands what it means to be of service.  We are here to serve the tenants living at Nye Courte.
   
Q. Must I share an apartment?
A. Certainly not--unless that is what you wish.  Nye Courte apartments are designed specifically  to respect the privacy of our tenants.
   
Q. May I bring some furnishings?
A. The apartments at Nye Courte are beautifully furnished with a bed, dresser and nightstand.  Tenants are welcome to personalize their apartment with their own additional furnishings and treasures.
   
Q. Will I be able to keep my automobile?
A. Certainly.  Detached garages with door openers are available on a monthly rent basis, plus there is ample uncovered parking space.
   
Q. Are meal allowances made for vacationing tenants?
A. Tenants who are away for a period of one week or more will not be charged the daily care level charge starting on the eighth day and until their return.
   
Q. Will I be able to keep my automobile?
A. Certainly.  Detached garages with door openers are available on a monthly rent basis, plus there is ample uncovered parking space. When the time comes and you no longer wish to drive, you can use our convenient transportation services.
   
Q. Does Medicare/Medicaid or insurance cover the apartments at the Nye Courte?
A. Medicare doe not cover the cost of assisted living apartments. However, Medicaid and some long term insurance policies may provide some coverage.  Please let us know if we can help you evaluate your policy or options.
   
Q. What happens if I no longer meet the criteria for an apartment at Nye Courte?
A. If tenants are no longer able to function with minor assistance, they will be asked to move to a level of care appropriate to their needs.

*Tenants may request additional personal care on a fee-service basis,
** Person’s living at Nye Courte will have first priority at either Nye Square, our independent
       Retirement apartments or at Nye Point, our Medicare certifies Skilled Nursing Facility should    your needs change.
